Indictment filed for the murder of Liridona Ademaj, the case’s prosecutor: The couple had a turbulent marital relation

The Basic Prosecution Office in Pristina has filed an indictment against four people for the murder of Liridona Ademaj.

The completion of the investigation and the filing of the indictment comes a year after the murder of the 30-year-old.

The news was announced during a conference on Wednesday, but not many details about the indictment were given.

It was said that they have provided sufficient evidence and proof to file the indictment, including those from the competent bodies of Sweden.

Liridona Ademaj was killed in November 2023 and one of the accused in the murder is her husband Naim Murseli.

The the case’s prosecutor, Javorka Perlincevic, said that details about the indictment could not be given, but she emphasized that according to the evidence, the late Liridona Ademaj and her ex-husband Naim Murseli had ‘turbulent marital and family relations’ during the time they stayed in Sweden, and that they had property problems.

She said that Naim Murseli, Kushtrim Kokalla and Granit Plava are directly involved in the murder of Liridona Ademaj, adding that there is also a fourth defendant. Regarding the latter, Perlincevic said that he was not directly involved and that they cannot provide details about his identity and involvement.
