On the second day of the Forum for Women, Peace and Security, the Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu said that even after two decades of war, women in Kosovo still face injustice, but despite this she said that women have proven it many times they are strong.
During the discussion at the Forum, she said that of all the initiatives that have been taken in the ministry that she leads, they are related to addressing war crimes, which according to her, 60 percent are members of girls and women’s groups.
The director of KRCT, Feride Rushiti, said that unfortunately, even in the circumstances after the war, the sufferings of women who have experienced violence are not felt much.
She said that women should not only have the support of the institutions, they should also take measures from the countries that have practiced this crime and ask for forgiveness.
