Democratic Party of Kosovo MP Blerta Deliu-Kodra has reported the “Lule Gjeli” profile to the Special Prosecution Office.
Speaking to the media after filing the report, she said she had asked the Prosecution and justice institutions to investigate the profile as well as all other fake profiles, KosovaPress reports.
“I have asked the Special Prosecution Office to investigate this profile in detail and examine its activities. Naturally, I have asked justice institutions to address every profile involved in lynching and inciting hatred, because in recent years, what we have seen as a state and as institutions is an extreme spread of hate speech, while there have also been threats to the security of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,” Deliu-Kodra said.
She spoke about the importance of justice institutions dealing with the case.
“I want to thank the justice institutions for their willingness to address and handle these cases, which have had consequences around the world. The fight against fake news around the world continues to be an important issue that is in the focus of international media,” she said.
