After several months of investigations under the direction of the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, the State Police has concluded the operation code-named “Members.”
On this occasion, citizens B. J. (29) and XH. SH. (60), residents of Kamëz, were detained. The Tirana Court has ordered them to be held in pre-trial detention, while a third citizen, S. C. (29), also a resident of Kamëz, has been placed on the wanted list as part of the group that sold firearms in Tirana.
The police have seized two pistols and combat ammunition suspected to have been intended for sale in Tirana.
Investigations continue under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office to fully document the criminal activity of these individuals and to identify and apprehend other citizens involved in the group.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
