Clashes over the import of Serbian products, opposition MPs leave the Committee meeting

During the report of the Minister of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari in the Committee on Economy, there was a clash between the position and the opposition MPs regarding the imports of goods from Serbia. The latter even left the hall.

During the discussion of the Law on foreign trade, the clash occurred due to the statement of the AAK MP, Pal Lekaj, who accused the majority of “flourishing” imports in Kosovo from Serbia.

For this statement, there were reactions from the MPs of the ruling party.

The MP Driton Hyseni accused Lekaj of misinforming the public, while contradicting his statement, he said that the import with Serbia went from 25 percent to 6 percent with the Kurti Government.

The head of VV Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, also criticized this statement, who asked MP Lekaj to apologize and look at the KAS statistics.

For this, Minister Rozeta Hajdari has expressed surprise with the loud voice of MP Lekaj.

Meanwhile, LDK MP Valentina Bunjaku – Rexhepi, asks that Minister Hajdari answer concrete questions and not comment on the voices of MPs.

Meanwhile, the PDK MP, Ferat Shala, addressed some questions to Minister Hajdari about the strategy for research and development. He also asked to know about the expert who received 1,000 euros per day for drafting this strategy.

For this Hajdari said that she does not remember the name of the expert.

Among other things, Hajdari, speaking about the Law on foreign trade, emphasized that this law defines the general principles and rules of import, export and for the exercise of foreign trade, adding that it has statistical impacts on improving the trade balance that was before 3 years in 1 to 10, whereas now it is 1 to 6.

In this regard, she added that there are difficulties in CEFTA, in presenting the state of Kosovo equally. /E. Krasniqi/
