The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, has said that the punitive measures of the EU should be removed as soon as possible, since Kosovo has fulfilled the basic requirements for the situation in the north.
Bislimi, while reporting to the Parliamentary Committee on European Integration, criticized the European Union for its unbalanced approach in the dialogue with Serbia.
According to Bislimi, there is pressure within the EU member states that there are punitive measures against Kosovo, although it has appointed a legitimate mayor in four municipalities, while there are no punitive measures against Serbia for the aggression in Banjska.
He underlined that dialogue with Serbia is important, but this should not hinder Kosovo in the integration process.
