Arianit Sllamniku will remain in pre-trial detention for one month

The Basic Court in Gjilan has approved the request of the Basic Prosecution in Gjilan and has ordered a one-month pre-trial detention for the defendant Arianit Sllamniku, who is suspected of committing two criminal offenses.

According to the announcement, the suspect, from an unspecified period until January 20, 2026, on “17 Shkurti” street in Gjilan, at the establishment registered as “Consulence,” is suspected of engaging in illegal medical and pharmaceutical activities without professional qualifications, a license, or legal authorization.

It is also stated that Sllamniku carried out medical and advisory treatments and consultations, claiming to offer cures for autism, describing various therapies that are unverified and unconfirmed, despite having no knowledge or qualifications in this medical field.

“During the implementation of a search order by NJHP in Gjilan, a witness was also found at the ‘Consulence’ premises, who had come for a consultation regarding autism treatment, and various medications were seized,” the announcement states.

The court further notes that the defendant is also suspected of committing “illegal medical experiments and drug testing,” as he recommended unverified pharmaceutical therapies for various individuals, mainly children on the autism spectrum, through electronic and telephone communication, and also accepted payments for these services.

The pre-trial judge assessed that there are legal grounds for ordering pre-trial detention, emphasizing that alternative measures would be insufficient for the successful conduct of the criminal proceedings.

Sllamniku has the right to appeal this decision to the Court of Appeals of Kosovo.
