Next week, the rapporteurs for Kosovo are expected to be appointed by the Council of Europe (CoE), after passing the first phase for membership in the CoE on April 24. The same are expected to come to Kosovo and draw up reports on legal and political issues, and on equality and the rights of communities. Meanwhile, two jurists who are not members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe have already been appointed who will make the first report on Kosovo regarding the constitutionality and rights of minorities.
In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, they are optimistic that Kosovo will pass the next stages for full membership in this international institution, while they say that they have no signal that the latest developments in Kosovo will stop Kosovo’s membership procedures in the Council of Europe.
