During routine inspections by customs officers at the Vërmica border crossing, a vehicle was stopped for a detailed check, in which undeclared goods were discovered.
According to the announcement from the Kosovo Customs, despite the responsible person declaring that they were not carrying any goods, hidden items were found in the vehicle during the inspection.
The undeclared goods include: 360 kg of pork neck (boneless) and 96 gas cylinders for household use (each containing 190 grams).
“For these goods, the person did not provide an invoice or accompanying documentation, and as a result, they have been seized until the completion of the relevant procedures. A procedure for a customs violation has been initiated against the responsible person, in accordance with Article 244 of the Customs and Excise Code of Kosovo (KDAK),” the Customs announcement stated.
Kosovo Customs remains committed to strengthening border control, preventing smuggling, and protecting the country’s economic and health interests.
