The hero Luan Haradinaj was born on November 17, 1973 in Gllogjan of Reka, respectively Decan. He completed primary school in Irzniq, and high school “Vellezerit Frasheri” in Decan.
After graduating from high school, Luan Haradinaj enrolled in the Faculty of Physical Education in Tirana, which he failed to complete, because he joined the fight for the liberation of Kosovo.
Luan Haradinaj had fallen in one of the first KLA battles against the Serbian occupying forces, on May 6, 1997, on the Albanian-Albanian border.
