Since the entry into force of the new measures, the Police together with the relevant municipal inspectorates have significantly increased controls in order to prevent the spread of the pandemic. This has led to an increase in the number of fines imposed.
Thus, only within the last 24 hours, the Kosovo Police has imposed 1438 fines on citizens who did not respect the measures against COVID-19. Dring the last 24 hours, the Police have also imposed a high number of fines for violations of traffic rules. 1711 tickets were issued throughout the country.
