Dozens of citizens protested on Thursday in front of the government building, where they asked the government to vote on the Law on Pension Fund, in order to make possible the withdrawal of 10-30% of savings from the Trust.
Shouting “The Trust is ours, not the government” citizens told Kosovapress that it is the right time to withdraw their funds from the Trust as wages are low and that there is an increase in prices of basic products.
Bajram Bajrami, who is a private sector worker, told Kosovapress that if the Assembly does not vote to allow the withdrawal of the Trust, other protests will block the Government’s entry. He announced that his salary is 250 euros, while adding that withdrawing funds from the trust will help him no matter how little.
While one of the protesters accused the Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti that he went to the United States of America with citizens’ money.
