European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has reacted to the tragic accident that took place this morning in Bulgaria, where 46 people, mostly from northern Macedonia, were killed in a bus crash. She expressed her condolences to the families of the victims, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
“My deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who perished in the tragic bus accident last night in Bulgaria. I also wish a fast recovery to those injured. In these terrible times, Europe stands in solidarity with you”, Ursula von der Leyen wrote on Twitter.
