European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, in the joint conference with Prime Minister Edi Rama at the end of the EU-Western Balkans summit, said that the leaders of the European Council have decided to help the countries of the Western Balkan region with six billion euros. According to him, through this fund, until 2027, the regional states will enjoy the same intensity as the states of the European Union.
Varhelyi emphasized that these countries should start with the rules of the European Union from today because they should be ready by the time of membership.
Further, Varhelyi added that Albania is ready to start negotiations for the first chapter for the European Union and for this the EU will have the opportunity to take it into account.
