The Balkan Leadership Conference “Peace, Security and Development in the Western Balkans”, of the Universal Peace Federation, has started in Prishtina. This conference brought together eminent leaders from Balkan countries, regional institutions and European nations.
At the opening of this conference, the head of the Universal Peace Federation in Kosovo, Binak Ulaj, said that peace is needed between the people in Kosovo, leaving aside political and party divisions.
“A few moments ago, we paid homage in honor of two boys who lost their lives after the war. We also need a peace in Kosovo here among ourselves, to leave those political, party divisions, and to think about Kosovo, for this freedom that was brought to us by the KLA boys and girls, of course with the help of NATO, to whom we will always be grateful”, he said.
This conference is organized by the Universal Peace Federation, in partnership with the KosovaPress News Agency, the Washington Times Foundation, the International Media Association for Peace (IMAP), and the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP).
