Today marks the 24th anniversary of the battle of Gllogjan, otherwise known as the “Dukagjini Epopee” that took place on March 24, 1998, when the Kosovo Liberation Army under the leadership of Ramush Haradinaj resisted the siege of Serbian occupying forces in Gllogjan. With this battle begins the frontal war between the KLA and Serbian forces in the Dukagjini Operational Zone.
