Kosovo was shocked by three murders of women last year. Lirije Qerimaj, Sadije Godeni and Hamide Magashi, the state failed to offer them protection. Even though they sought help from the institutions, their lives were deprived of their spouses. In all three cases, it is considered that the authorities failed to prevent such a crime. The actions that were taken are also being assessed as absurd. The lives of women from Kosovo are not being treated as a priority, say the organizations for the protection of women’s rights.
