After ten months, the high-level meetings of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue will return today. For the third time, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will hold a face-to-face meeting with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, after the meeting he will the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz.
Today’s stay in Berlin of the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia and the involvement of Germany in the dialogue is considered to give new dynamics to the process of reaching a final agreement, but also as an opportunity to approximate agreements not implemented so far, including the one on license plates.
Violeta Haxholli from the Democratic Institute of Kosovo tells KosovaPress that Kosovo and Serbia should take seriously the requests that may come from Chancellor Scholz to reach a final agreement based on mutual recognition.
In this regard, calling the meeting of Prime Minister Kurti with the German Chancellor as very important, Haxholli says that the biggest pressure should be directed towards Serbia, as it is reluctant to recognize Kosovo’s statehood.
