The vehicle market in Prishtina continues to function, but not as before, since the number of sales has fallen and with it the purchasing power.
Citizens say that the prices of vehicles are high for their pocket, while sellers complain that with the liberalization of visas and online sales, purchasing power has also decreased.
Citizen Mon Peci, who had come to buy a car, expressed his disappointment with the high prices.
That the prices are expensive and there are fewer choices, says the citizen, Arsim Berisha.
The sellers, for their part, consider the prices of vehicles “normal”, as they see the lack of their sales as the decrease in the flow of buyers after the visa regime was lifted.
Hysen Mazreku says that the decrease in the flow of buyers has been influenced by the liberalization of visas.
The other seller, Murat Hashani, says that he rarely goes to the market to sell the cars that he buys mostly from abroad, and for the price of which he says that they are not expensive.
The decline in buying interest affects not only car dealers, but also those who bring in various goods from abroad, including antiques. A citizen, who brought antiques from Vienna, says that there is a big drop in buyers because according to him the wages are low.
