The Supreme Court is the remaining address where the defense of the former heads of the KLA War Veterans Organization can be directed, to request a reduction of the sentence. Also, they can submit a request for a reduction of the sentence after the defendants reach two-thirds of serving the sentence, for which the decision is then taken by the president of the Specialized Chambers of Kosovo.
The Appeals Panel at the Special Court on Thursday decided to remove only three months of imprisonment from the first-degree sentence against Gucati and Haradinaj, which was 4 and a half years.
