Serbs in the north of Mitrovica today attacked members of the Kosovo Police, while the latter were conducting an action against goods smuggled in that part. The Special Police Units, together with the Customs, have carried out raids on various facilities, bars and houses in the north, while they have encountered resistance from the population.
They have set up roadblocks with various means of transport, have used gas cylinders, there have been shootings with firearms, hand grenades and stones, in order to prevent customs and police officers from carrying out their duties. Albanian journalists were also attacked, in the direction of which explosive devices were thrown.
