The Serbian List announced today that it will not participate in the April 23 elections, which will be held in the four northern municipalities.
The Serbian List emphasized that it will not participate in the elections until their demands are met.
“The Central Electoral Commission has sent a notice to our political party that from March 9 to 18 is the deadline for the application of parties to participate in the early elections in the northern municipalities of Kosovo, in this way we use the opportunity to inform the citizens that our political party will not participate in the elections because the demands that pushed us to leave the institutions of Kosovo have not been met, and we will not participate in the elections until our legitimate demands are fulfilled,” it was said in the statement.
The deadlines for the snap elections for mayors of four municipalities: North Mitrovica, Zvecan, Leposavic and Zubin Potok, as well as early elections for the municipal assemblies of two municipalities: Zvecan and Leposavic, have started today (March 9).
The elections in the four northern municipalities will be held on April 23 of this year.
