The Group for Legal and Political Studies (GLPS) has expressed opposition regarding the selection process for the Ombudsperson in the Assembly of Kosovo. GLPS says that in the meetings with the members and the chairwoman of the Commission for Human Rights, it has insisted from the beginning, that this process be based on clear standards of measuring the professionalism, integrity, and leadership ability of the candidates.
GLPS says that although it has long proposed to the Commission on Human Rights a comparative methodology for how such a process takes place in developed democracies, it has consistently been rejected.
