At the Balkan Leadership Conference “Peace, Security and Development in the Western Balkans”, the chairman of the Universal Peace Federation for Kosovo, Katsumi Otsuka said that the role of the media for world peace is very important.
He said that through this conference it will be possible to see things from a different perspective in terms of the development of the Western Balkans.
“UPF has a system that is ready to bring peace to the world, the nations of the Western Balkans in a way have been part of these things and the role of the media for world peace is very important, here the latest developments, both online and in the social world have brought a lot of information, or are helping society to be informed. For this reason, they created the Washington Times in Central America, and created an extensive media network, which has a very high media and ethical professionalism. These are the young people who are affected by social media and there is no doubt that they are the positive commitment to world peace, and that commitment will be necessary for world peace”, he said.
This conference brought together eminent leaders from Balkan countries, regional institutions and European nations.
This conference is organized by the Universal Peace Federation, in partnership with the KosovaPress News Agency, the Washington Times Foundation, the International Media Association for Peace (IMAP), and the International Association of Youth and Students for Peace (IAYSP).
