The GAP report which explains the rules and procedures for early retirement of civil servants has been published. For the first time, detailed data on the age of civil servants are presented in all budget organizations.
According to State Treasury data, 26.7 percent of public sector employees are civil servants. While the average age in the civil service is 47.5 years and 14.1 percent are over 60 years old. Whereas, unlike central and independent institutions, municipalities have more civil servants employed over the age of 63.
