The president of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF), Luciano Rossi, visited Kosovo today, whereupon he was received by the president of the Kosovo Olympic Committee, Ismet Krasniqi, the leaders of the Shooting Sport Federation of Kosovo, the president Gëzim Hazrolli, the general secretary , Driton Sejdiu and the vice president Agron Jusufi.
Also present at the meeting were the director of the Sports Department at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS), Ibër Alaj, and the president of the Albanian Shooting Federation, Stefan Rrufa.
President Krasniqi, welcoming President Rossi, expressed his willingness and readiness to jointly continue the support for the further advancement of sports marking in Kosovo, while he also spoke about taking over the organization of the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games of which the sport of Shooting Sport will also be a part.
Even the chairman Hazrolli thanked the president of the Shooting Sport in the world for the visit, saying that his visit shows the support he has for SHSFK, while he also spoke about the good cooperation with KOC.
He said that it is a historic visit and they expect support from President Rossi.
For his part, President Rossi, thanking KOC and SHSFK for the hospitality, showed that the good cooperation with SHSFK has started since the membership process of this federation in ISSF, where he had given strong support, until he singled out the work and dedication of our federation for the advancement and raising the quality of this sport in Kosovo.
SHSFK, like other federations, have the main budget from MCYS, for which director Ibër Alaj promised support in the future, so that this sport can be strengthened even more.
The parties also discussed other cooperation projects in the interest of the Shooting Sport Federation in Kosovo, with special emphasis on the investments that will be made for shooting for the Prishtina 2030 Mediterranean Games.
After the meeting held at the KOC, President Rossi also visited the marksmanship hall at the Palace of Youth and Sports in Prishtina, where the equipment used by the shooters is a donation from the ISSF.
