The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has published the preliminary results for the snap elections in the municipalities of North Mitrovica, Leposavic, Zubin Potok and Zvecan.
According to the data of the CEC, in North Mitrovica, the candidate of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Erden Atiq won with 519 votes or 66.5 percent, followed by the PDK candidate, Taulant Kelmendi with 186 votes or 23.8 percent, while Betim Osmani from Mitrovica Civic Initiative received 75 votes or 9.6 percent.
The Vetëvendosje movement also won in the Leposavic municipality with the candidate Lulzim Hetemi, who received 100 votes or 73.5 percent, followed by the PDK candidate, Albulena Behluli-Hetemi, who received 34 votes or 25 percent.
Meanwhile, in the other two municipalities, Zubin Potok and Zvecan, according to CEC data, the Democratic Party won.
PDK candidate Izmir Zeqiri won in Zubin Potok with 196 votes or 52.1 percent, while the candidate from VV, Flatron Hasani, won 180 votes or 47.9 percent.
On the other hand, Ilir Peci from PDK won 114 votes in Zvecan or 60.0 percent, followed by the VV candidate Lulzim Peci with 71 votes or 37.4 percent.
Conditional votes are not included in these results. In today’s elections, 1,567 citizens or 3.47 percent, out of a total of 45,000 citizens with the right to vote, participated in the elections in the northern municipalities./KosovaPress/
