The possibility of postponing the extraordinary elections in the north of the country has already remained to be assessed by the security institutions if the election process can be held in the four northern municipalities.
However, according to election observers, the ongoing tensions, grenade attacks and recently the wounding of a police officer are reasons why holding elections in the north is impossible under these circumstances. However, in the Central Election Commission, they say that they are ready to hold the elections and the process is continuing according to the operational plan. But they add that for any postponement of the elections in the north, it remains for other institutions to make the assessments.
