Kosova Police announces that police officers in self-defense were forced to use proportional force, managing to neutralize one suspect, whereas four other suspects were arrested.
“Until now, the number of those arrested has reached seven, one has been neutralized and another is still being sought by the police,” reads the police communiqué.
The communiqué states that the police officer was offered medical assistance at HUCSK, where according to the first information from the competent doctors, he is out of danger.
The announcement states that after intensive investigations and the collection of evidence, today in Prishtina, Fushe Kosova, and Carraleva, the police operation was carried out, which included control in seven different locations, with the aim of identifying and arresting suspected persons.
The police announce the progress of the case of the armed robbery that occurred on 22.11.2023 in Suhareka, where the suspects during the robbery fired at the police officers, the Kosova Police, in cooperation and coordination with the Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Prizren, has continued intensive investigations, with the aim of clarifying the case and bringing the suspected persons before the justice bodies.
“As a result of the continuous investigations, three people suspected of assisting in the criminal act of robbery were initially arrested, whereas the investigations towards the identification and clarification of the case have continued until today, when the police operation was carried out”, reads the communiqué. During the police operation, a suspect shot at the police officers directly endangering their lives, in which case a police officer was injured.
