Opposition and position clashed in the Investigative Committee regarding the level of management of the working relationship of members of the foreign service and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora (MFAD). MPs of the Vetëvendosje Movement have declared that they have made a deep reform in this ministry from 2019. The opposition MPs have reacted to this, saying that MFAD is not providing the required documentation, even though they have requested the necessary materials for the investigation several times.
At today’s meeting of the commission, a meeting was held with the three experts engaged in this investigation. The latter have presented the list of witnesses who will testify.
The MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Ariana Musliu Shoshi, agreed with the presented list, but emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not yet submitted all the documents requested by the commission.
The chairman of this commission, Time Kadrijaj, said that she has twice sent requests to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora to bring the required documents.
For the preliminary list of witnesses, MP Jeta Statovci requested that the members of the commission be included in the submission of proposals.
The MP of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Fitore Pacolli, said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has started a deep reform from 2019. To which the MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo reacted. Furthermore, PDK MP Ariana Musliu Shoshi said that the Law on Foreign Service has been postponed seven times and has not come to the assembly.
The debate continued even further, when the chairman of the Investigative Committee, Time Kadriaj, called MP Pacolli abusive.
After this clash, the ruling MPs Jeta Statovci and then Fitore Pacolli left the commission. /Sh. Pajaziti
