The opposition continues to criticize the government for jeopardizing the alliance with the US

The opposition parties in the Assembly of Kosovo have continued to criticize the Government of Kosovo for jeopardizing alliances with the USA and the European Union. According to the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), the executive has failed to properly manage the decision of the Central Bank of Kosovo for the new regulation, which prohibits the use of the Serbian dinar. However, in the ruling party, Vetëvendosje, they say that the communication with the USA and other allied countries is continuing normally and that the only differences are in the deadlines for the implementation of the decision and not in substantive matters.

PDK MP, Blerta Deliu-Kodra, said that the decision to ban the Serbian dinar is constitutional, but there should be coordination with international allies for its implementation.

The head of the AAK Parliamentary Group, Besnik Tahiri was more critical, who said that Kosovo’s relations with the European Union and the USA have never been worse.

On the other hand, the head of the VV Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, said that with the international allies they have compatibility with the content of the CBK regulation, but the only differences are in the time aspects of implementation.

They made these comments after the meeting of the Presidency of the Assembly, which failed due to the lack of quorum. However, the Speaker of the Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, has scheduled the plenary session for Thursday, with unfinished items from the previous sessions.

Also, with regard to the work of the Assembly, the opposition was critical of the majority, where according to them the work in the legislature has completely degraded.

Meanwhile, the head of AAK Parliamentary Group, Besnik Tahiri, said that the majority has total irresponsibility in the Assembly.

Whereas he emphasized that they have collected the signatures for calling an extraordinary session next week regarding health insurance. /KosovaPress/
