At the Psychiatry Clinic in the Addiction Diseases Department, during the 9 months of this year, 89 patients requested treatment, a significantly higher number compared to last year. As it turns out, 26 of them were addicted to opioids (heroin), while 11 were addicted to cannabinoids (marijuana).
As a result of addiction to polysubstance (multiple psychoactive substances) 25 people have sought help, while as a result of addiction to alcohol, 14 people have sought help, and 3 people for addiction to sedatives. According to this clinic, it is worrying that young people are the most frequent cases, especially those aged 18 and over. While there are cases when people aged 15 and 16 have sought treatment in this Psychiatric Clinic.
