At the border crossing in Vërmicë, the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo (PIK) together with the Special Prosecution has launched the action codenamed “Point 2”, where so far, as KosovaPress learns, 25 border police officers have been arrested on suspicion of committing criminal offenses of bribery and abuse of official position. All of them are already being sent to Prishtina for interview.

Some of the police officers were arrested while on duty at the Vërmica border crossing point, whereas the rest of the suspects were summoned by PIK investigators to the Kosovo-Albania joint facility and the arrest of suspected police officers took place in the same place.
