The Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Glauk Konjufca, has requested the consolidation of security and judicial mechanisms so that cases of murder of women do not happen again.
According to the Speaker, today’s murder in Peja, as well as the one a few days ago in Ferzaj, were committed by men who had criminal cases regarding domestic violence.
Konjufca, at the Women Peace Security Forum, demanded justice for the survivors of sexual violence during the war in Kosovo.
Meanwhile, he emphasized the commitment of the Assembly of Kosovo for gender equality.
