In the extraordinary session in the Municipal Assembly of Deçan, the mayor of this municipality, Bashkim Ramosaj, announced the neurosurgeon Mentor Petrela as an honorary citizen. Meanwhile, the title will be awarded at the solemn session of the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Deçan.
Ramosaj also listed the reasons why they made the decision to declare Petrela an honorary citizen.
Ramosaj has asked the parliamentary assembly to approve this proposal, as according to him it is an honor to have the neurosurgeon Petrela as an honorary citizen.
Petrela, is one of the 100 best neurosurgeons in the world, who has performed about 17 thousand operations.
