The miners of Trepça, together with the representatives of the management of this enterprise, have symbolically marked the traditional manifestation “Miners’ Week”, thus commemorating the hunger strike of 32 years ago in defense of Kosovo, which then shook the foundations of Yugoslavia.
They initially laid flowers and paid homage near the grave of the hero Mehe Uka in the village of Bajgora, to continue with visits to the memorial “Adem Jashari” in Prekaz, the cemetery of martyrs in Shipol, and they ended their activity, at the memorial plaque of miners of the 1989 in the center of the city of Mitrovica.
