While there are ten days left until the law on salaries for the public sector enters into force, the value of the coefficient is still unknown. The Assembly of Kosovo, through the law, has approved the ranking of coefficients for public officials but without being aware of the value.
The Chairman of the Independent Trade Union of the Administration of Kosovo, Ali Gashi, has stated for KosovaPress that not determining the value of the salary coefficient has created concern and dissatisfaction among public officials.
Gashi has stated that any value of the coefficient that is below 130 euros obliges them to talk with the trade union partners and see how will they proceed.
According to Gashi, from the drafting to the approval of the law, there was a significant lack of transparency.
