The Basic Court of Pristina has acquitted the four former ministers of the Government, Thaçi 2, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, Nenad Rashiq, Besim Beqa, Dardan Gashi, as well as Fllanza Hoxha and Arben Gjuka, who were accused by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of corruption in the case of known as the “The Hydropower Plant Affair”.
“In accordance with Article 364 paragraph 1 point 1.3 of the Criminal Code of Criminal Procedure, the accused B.B., M.K.L., N.R., D.G., F.H. and A.GJ have been acquitted of the charges, since the court has not found evidence that they have committed the criminal offenses for which have been charged by the Special Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kosovo”, it is stated in the judgment with number PS. no. 17/2020.
Also, it is announced that based on Article 463 of the CCCP, the damaged Energy Corporation of Kosovo and the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, for the realization of the legal property claim, are instructed in a civil dispute.
Against this judgment, the parties have the right to appeal to the Court of Appeal of Kosovo.
