The hearing against Sveçla and others for throwing tear gas in the Assembly is postponed again

At the Basic Court in Prishtina, the hearing against the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, and the Vetëvendosje MPs, Fitore Pacolli, Sali Zyba, and Drita Millaku, for throwing tear gas at the Assembly meeting in 2019, has failed.

In the absence of the CD-recordings from the defendants and the absence of the MP Drita Millaku, today’s session did not continue. The next session will be held on March 26 at 10:00.

In this case, judge Sabit Sadiku, due to the lack of CD-recordings, asked the prosecution to bring the materials within five days. Meanwhile, for MP Millaku, he has requested that until the next session, if the health condition improves, she will be present at the session.

The judge, Sadiku, said that if the defendant Millaku does not appear in the next session, another session will be continued for her.

Also, the defense lawyer of the defendant, Drita Millaku, Labinot Buzuku emphasized that the CD-recordings they have are not of a format that the computer accepts and as such have not been opened.

Buzuku said that in the absence of these materials, the session could not continue.
