The Ministry of Economy has announced that 75 million euros are planned for energy subsidies for citizens and businesses, thus sparing them from tariff increases. In a press release, The Ministry of Economy has shown that subsidies represent revenues for the sector that do not need to be covered by electricity tariffs and, consequently, mitigate the increase in electricity tariffs.
The ministry further underlined that the primary purpose of the subsidy allocated by the Government is to protect vulnerable consumers from the impact of higher electricity prices.
