Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) publishes government accounts for the period 2015-2021, where it is announced that the total government revenues in 2021 were 2 484.6 million euros, and most of which are taxes on products, which represent 67% of total revenues.
According to KAS, this publication presents the overview of government revenues and expenditures within this period.
“The total revenues of the General Government in 2021 were 2 484.6 million Euros. Most of the revenues are taxes on products, which represent 67% of total revenues; current income taxes 13%; financial assets and liabilities 11%; while the rest of the revenues are distributed to other revenue categories. The total expenditures of the General Government in 2021 were 2 376.4 million Euros. The largest share of expenditures consists of: workers’ compensation (27%); social contributions and benefits (26%); intermediate consumption (14%); gross capital formation (13%); while the rest of the expenditures are distributed in other categories of expenditures “, it is said in the KAS communiqué.
