Apart from the electricity that the residents of the four Serb-majority municipalities in northern Mitrovica do not pay for, they do not even pay for the water used since the post-war period. Even the relevant authorities do not have access to that part for the collection of water bills.
Leaders of the Water Services Regulatory Authority – ARRU during the reporting to the Committee on Economy stated that the debts created in the north of Mitrovica have reached about 15 million euros.
