The end of the year holidays, the feelings of losing a loved one and the role of psychological help

The end of the year holidays are seen as a period of joy where people are surrounded by love and warmth. Beyond the warmth that the holidays bring, the need to have our loved ones close to us also brings to mind those who are no longer with us. This is what citizens declare for KosovaPress, while psychologists and sociologists talk about the effects that such a feeling brings.

According to psychologist Kristjan Halilaj, in some cases the festive days can bring emptiness and anxiety.

Halilaj says that citizens should be aware of birth and death as a natural process and as a first step they should learn how to detach themselves from negative thoughts.

Meanwhile, sociologist Gani Xërxa told KosovaPress that in these cases we should think nice things about the people we have lost without spoiling the festive atmosphere.

Meanwhile, citizen Ramadan Azemaj told KosovaPress that with the loss of a loved one, it is very difficult to celebrate holidays.

Citizen Jakup Halili also says that the most loved ones are remembered on festive days.

Mendrit Ramadani also says that those people are always remembered with nostalgia.
