In today’s session in the Specialized Chambers in The Hague, against the former heads of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the Office of the Specialized Prosecutor proposed that the trial begin in the summer of 2021, but this was opposed by the defense, according to which, at least 18 months are needed for investigation and the trial may start in the summer of 2022.
The defense of former President Hashim Thaçi, David Hooper, called absurd the proposal to start the trial next year.
