The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has stated that the date for the constitutional session of the Assembly of Kosovo will be known soon, but emphasized that everything will be done according to constitutional deadlines.
Osmani told media that today they officially received the certified results of the February 9 elections from the Central Election Commission (CEC).
KosovaPress attempted to get a response from the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, regarding when consultations for the new government would begin, but did not receive a reply.
According to the Constitution of Kosovo, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, is required to call the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo within 30 days from the day the election results are certified by the CEC.
Yesterday, the Central Election Commission certified the final results of the February 9 general elections. Based on the certified election results, the Vetevendosje Movement won 42.30%, the Democratic Party of Kosovo 20.95%, the Democratic League of Kosovo 18.27%, and the AAK-Nisma coalition 7.06%.
