The Central Election Commission approves the number of ballots and brochures

The Central Election Commission decided on the number of ballots and brochures to be printed for the parliamentary elections on February 9. At today’s meeting, the CEC also extended the deadline for accreditation of observers of political entities until January 20.
The total number of ballots approved for printing is 1 million 752 thousand 650 ballots and over 16 thousand 900 brochures for candidates of political entities.

The member of the Central Election Commission from PDK, Arianit Elshani, said that for these elections the number of ballots is smaller than the total number of those who have the right to vote.
According to the CEC decision, 1,664,100 ballots are for voting at regular polling stations, 28,450 for conditional voting, 38,650 ballots are for persons with special needs and as reserves, while 21,450 are for voting at diplomatic missions.

“The total number of ballots is 1 million 752 thousand 650 ballots. As for the candidate brochures that will be printed, there are 16 thousand 980 candidate brochures that include the names and surnames of the candidates, as well as the number of candidates for each political entity, and 2635 voting lists… These are for regular polling stations, conditional polling stations, reserve ballots, ballots of people with special needs, and ballots in diplomatic missions…. The number of ballots is smaller than the total number of people who have the right to vote, taking into account the electoral trend in each polling station,” said Elshani.
