It’s been 16 days since a 23-year-old girl is being treated in the Central Intensive Care Unit at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo (UCCK) after receiving serious injuries as a result of the collapse of the roof in the building of the new Municipality of Prishtina. However, since that day the patient has been dependent on breathing apparatus but now her condition is stable.
The head of Central Intensive Care Medicine at UCCK, Shaqir Uka, in a statement for KosovaPress said that the patient has been released from the respiratory medical apparatus and her condition is stable.
Uka added that the patient needs to be monitored and continue the treatment in intensive treatment, but did not emphasize a period of time.
We recall that on January 18, the 23-year-old woman received serious injuries as a result of the collapse of the roof in the building of the new Municipality in Prishtina. She was first treated at the Emergency Center at UCCK, then sent to Intensive Care to continue treatment.
The municipality said that the first suspicions are that the collapse of the roof occurred as a result of strong winds that day, while investigations are continuing.
