The Brdo-Brijuni summit ends, the liberalization of visas for Kosovo is requested

The Brdo-Brijuni summit in Slovenia has ended, where the president of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmanit, also participated. Due to disagreements, the joint statement of the presidents of the region has not been approved, however, the green light was given to several conclusions, among them, the liberalization of visas for Kosovo and the granting of candidate status to Bosnia-Herzegovina. Meanwhile, the European Union was asked to help the Western Balkans with the energy crisis and food security.

The two hosts of the summit, the Slovenian president, Borut Pahor, and the Croatian president, Zoran Milanovic, in the joint press conference also mentioned the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, for which it was requested that the open issues be resolved in good faith.

While the Croatian president, Milanovic, openly said that Serbia should recognize the independence of Kosovo, the Slovenian was more reserved.
