The Government of Kosovo has decided to re-establish the Kosovo Lottery, whose activity was terminated last year with the closure of gambling. The executive has approved the draft law on reopening the lottery, which according to the Minister of Finance will allow only the organization of digital and instant games. In addition, at today’s meeting of the Government, the Cabinet decided to allocate 203 thousand euros for associations emerging from the war, financial support from the package for economic recovery.
With a special draft law, former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj had asked the Assembly of Kosovo to ban gambling, a decision after which the activity of the Kosovo Lottery was stopped, for which it was requested to be regulated by a special law.
