In the American Congress, in the presence of President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti, as well as the Minister of Economy Artane Rizvanolli, the agreement was signed between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America, represented by the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), in the amount of 236.7 million dollars.
The signing of the Agreement with MCC comes after the successful conclusion of negotiations in May of this year and after the unanimous vote of the Compact Program by the Board of Directors of MCC.
President Osmani said that the agreement of 236.7 million dollars is the biggest energy investment.
Osmani also said that today, the USA, through the MCC, reconfirmed its unwavering support for the Republic of Kosovo and its willingness to help and advance it further in terms of sustainable economic development.
Meanwhile, MCC Chief Executive Officer, Alice Albright, emphasized that this signing represents the continuation of a deep partnership between the United States and Kosovo, and the commitment to work together to build modern, clean energy solutions from which will benefit nearly 2 million Kosovars.
